Jane Couch
Jane qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and became a partner in 1997. A long-standing member of the Action Against Medical Accidents Solicitors referral panel and a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence panel, Jane has extensive experience in clinical negligence litigation. Over the last 12 years Jane has undertaken a wide range of claims including complex cases involving brain injury, misdiagnosis, mishaps during surgery in all fields of medicine and recovered very substantial compensation for her clients. Jane is married with two children.
Penny Ayles
Penny qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and joined the partnership in 1994 becoming head of our Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Department in 1997 A Deputy District Judge, Penny has conducted a wide range of clinical negligence claims. She is also one of the country's foremost specialists in child abuse litigation being in the vanguard of a number of high profile group action claims. Penny is married.
Richard Blair
Richard became a Barrister in 1983 and requalified as a solicitor in 1989. Having been a partner with another firm for 10 years he joined us in 2000 and was invited to join the partnership in 2006. Richard has considerable experience of clinical negligence litigation beginning his practice in 1987. In addition to cases involving birth related accidents, Richard has undertaken ophthalmic, oncology, colorectal, anaesthesia, dental and orthopaedic injuries claims, amongst others. Richard is married with two children.
Martin White
Martin joined the firm in 1997 having qualified as a solicitor in 1993 He became a partner in 1999. Martin undertakes a mixture of personal injury and clinical negligence claims.
Therese Classon
Therese joined WBW solicitors in 2000, becoming an associate in 2005.
Therese specialises in personal injury work including road traffic accidents, slips and trips, occupiers liability claims and accidents at work. Her caseload ranges from the simple rear end shut to the complexities of fatal accidents. Therese also deals with uninsured/untraced driver claims.
Therese is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury panel and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
