Personal Injury
Passengers
As a passenger in a car you will be entitled to compensation provided you did nothing to cause the driver of the car that you are in to lose control.
Normally passengers know the driver of the car and may be reluctant to bring a claim. However, you are likely to be an innocent party and therefore within your rights to bring a claim. If you did bring a claim and the driver of your car was responsible for the accident he would not personally pay for your claim but his insurers would. If the accident was caused by another vehicle then a claim would be pursued against them and not necessarily the driver of the car in which you were a passenger.
