Personal Injury
Assaults
If you are the victim of an assault then you may be able to bring a claim through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (the CICA).
It is important when dealing with such an action that the assault is reported to the police as soon as possible whilst people's memories are still clear as to what happened and any witness can be interviewed and that you seek urgent medical attention for your injuries.
You may also be eligible for limited public funding (legal aid) to help you bring a claim.
Such a claim must be notified to the CICA within 2 years of the date of the assault.
An assault is a terrifying matter to go through and quite often not only are there physical injuries but also psychological trauma.
At WBW we aim to deal with your claim efficiently and promptly and to take away the worry of bringing a claim.
