Dangers of Third Party Capture
People who have accidents are being warned about being approached directly by insurance companies who offer to deal with their claims. Known as Third Party Capture, this initiative from insurers prevents victims from receiving proper legal advice and very often claims may be undersettled.
The Trade Union, Unite, and Apil (the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) have called on the FSA to investigate who practices third-party capture. Unite and Apil are concerned about insurance company's representatives cold calling 'third party' victims after an accident.
WBW Solicitors' Therese Classon, associate solicitor specialising in Personal Injury and a senior litigator of Apil, says 'If you have had an accident and are approached direct by an insurance company please speak to us first to ensure your legal rights are protected".
WBW Solicitors have experienced Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence lawyers who can provide comprehensive advice about whether you are entitled to claim compensation and offer free ½ hour interviews.
