We find MedlinePlus: Medical Encyclopaedia is a fantastic source of information on all manner of medical conditions. MedlinePlus also offers a medical dictionary facility, can offer information on drugs and supplements and current health news.

Many of our clients who have been devastated following a medical accident, have found support groups vital, feeling more informed and less alone as a consequence of contacting them.  

We have strong links with AvMA (Action Against Medical Accidents), which is an independent charity which promotes better patient safety and justice for people who have been affected by a medical accident. AvMA have a clinical negligence referral panel.  We are recognised on that panel. AvMA are a very useful source of independent medical experts who are willing to speak out against colleagues within their profession who have provided substandard care.  

Judicial Study Guidelines - this is a reference book which will give an indication of the value of an injury to a particular part of the body. In many ways it is more useful to clients who were sick prior to injury. It has to be remembered, when investigating a clinical negligence claim, that the client had a medical problem which they were seeking attention for prior to being placed in a worse position as a consequence of negligent treatment.
